From Tencha to Matcha: Behind Our Production

Last week, we welcomed our Japanese clients to China for a visit to our matcha tea farm. The main purpose of their business trip was to learn more about our Tencha and matcha powder processing, in preparation for future imports to Japan and to explore opportunities to expand their production.

One of the reasons our clients are interested in our matcha is our advanced farming practices and processing equipment, which meet high standards in the industry. More importantly, we are able to produce high-quality matcha through organic cultivation. Unlike conventional farming, organic tea cultivation focuses on maintaining a healthy growing environment while minimizing the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.

Before harvesting, the tea bushes are carefully shaded to help develop the vibrant green color and rich umami flavor that matcha is known for. The young leaves are then harvested and carefully processed into fine matcha powder. In addition, our organic tea bushes are carefully cultivated under strict organic farming standards. We pay close attention to soil health, natural growing conditions, and sustainable cultivation practices. Our organic matcha is produced in accordance with USDA Organic and EU Organic standards, providing customers with reliable and certified organic ingredients.

At Great Rise, we are committed to providing high-quality organic matcha for customers seeking clean, reliable, and versatile ingredients. From careful cultivation to final processing, we believe that great matcha starts with a healthy tea field
