Matcha Lemonade Recipe (low glycemic)
Matcha with Lemonade is a good choice in Summer.
Ingredients:
4 Lemons – ½ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice plus half one lemon for garnish
2 Tsp of organic matcha
3/4 Cup honey
2 Cups hot water
1 Quart cold water
(Optional) Sprigs of mint for garnish
Directions:
Juice about 3-4 lemons to produce ½ cup of lemon juice, set aside.
Whisk 2 tsp of matcha green tea together with 4 oz of the hot water to make a green tea shot
Mix the matcha concentrate with the honey and the rest of the hot water in a pitcher until the honey is completely dissolved.
Add the lemon juice and cold water and place in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and mint.
