DIY Green Tea With Peppermint

Dec 3rd, 2021

Today we are going to be taking a look at an incredible tea blend that brings together one of the most popular herbal teas with the venerable and ever-popular green tea.

Can You Mix Green Tea And Peppermint Tea? Not only can you, but peppermint green tea is among the most popular herbal tea blends going right now. You get the benefits of both tea without compromising the flavor of either.

  • So How To Make Peppermint Green Tea?

Here is my quick recipe for making a cup that is a little more complicated than it probably should be but I think this gives the tea the best flavor balance

  • 1 teaspoon of green tea (I like to use Sencha Green Tea)
  • 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf peppermint
  • Use about 10 oz of spring water
  • Steep the peppermint leaf, covered, for around 3-5 minutes in 205°F/96°C water
  • Remove the peppermint leaf and add in your sencha green tea, the water temperature should be cool enough to steep the delicate sencha
  • 2 minutes is about all you need to steep the green tea.
  • Enjoy your cup of peppermint green tea

Peppermint green tea is one of my favorite drink in Summer. Hope you also can enjoy it!
