Cashews offer a unique richness that makes for a delicious spread on a wide array of snacks. With the added benefits of matcha, maple, MCT oil, and cinnamon, this DIY recipe just might become your new favorite nut butter.
Ingredients
2 cups raw cashews
2 tsp matcha powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp maple syrup
3 tsp MCT oil (sub for coconut oil if not available)
Directions
Add cashews and MCT oil to high-powered blender on medium speed, working your way to high while pushing mixture towards blade with the plunger.
Once nut butter is formed, add remaining ingredients, blend until fully incorporated.
Add to smoothies, top smoothie bowls, or spread over your favorite toast and top with berries and superfoods.
Note: A high-powered blender with a plunger works best for this recipe, but it can be made with a food processor if you double the ingredients, pausing to scrape the nut butter down the sides.
